Upcoming Classes: December 2015
Hello Friends! I’ve missed you all. After spending the month of November focused on Christmas commissions, I can’t wait to see you again and host painting classes. I’ve saved two special class projects for December BOTH of which are hanging in my home right now. One, is a cheery poinsettia and the other a festive cardinal (my mom’s favorite). I’ve also spoken to Santa and he gave me permission to show you a few sneak peeks of the secret Christmas commissions I’ve been working so hard on this past month.
Below are the classes offered in December. As always, classes are at my home at 2612 Hibbitts Rd., Nashville, TN 37214 and are $25 each to cover materials. You’ll also notice an exciting new feature on the site that allows you to pay directly when you sign up. Several of you commented that it was hard to find a check book or rush to the ATM right before class so this feature eliminates that extra hassle. Thanks IT Team!
Project #1 – “Poinsettia”
Poinsettias are traditional Christmas plants that brighten every home. This project is fun because it’s built up in layers of red, green and yellow. I’ll walk you through the project step-by-step so you leave with a beautiful Christmas painting you can enjoy for years to come. The finished project is 5″ x 7″ and the class is offered twice, once on Thursday December 3rd at 6:30 pm and again on Saturday December 5th at 10 am.
To sign up for a class, go to the “sign up” page HERE and register for either Thursday or Saturday.
Project #2 – “Cardinal”
The Cardinal. This gorgeous bird is a bright spot in any decor, especially at Christmas. Come join in the class and I’ll walk you through the project so you leave with a bird you can show off with pride this holiday season and all year round. The finished project is 5″ x 7″ and the class is offered twice, once on Thursday December 10th at 6:30 pm and again on Saturday December 12th at 10 am.

Santa’s Sneak Peeks
(with permission)
One year portrait of James. Portrait commissioned by Patsy Brumfield for her daughter. Love this little guy’s face! 🙂
Dog portrait commissioned by Tonya Stevens for her sister. Merry Christmas to both of you!
Hand-drawn genealogy of the Davenport family going back 17 generations with the family crest at the top. Names compiled by Sherri Shaumbaugh.
Custom illustration for the Stern family in NYC for their annual watercolor Christmas card. Their specific requests were to “include their three children flying on the backs of pterodactyls, the Hudson River palisades and Manhattan in the background.” It was different, but in the end it turned out to be one of my faves this year.
That’s all for now. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I’ll see you at the classes!
Love,
Tracie Grace
