Hello Friends! Here is a list of upcoming classes offered in August 2015. As always, classes are at my home at 2612 Hibbitts Rd., Nashville, TN 37214 and each class is $25 to cover materials and snacks. I look forward to painting with you!

Project #1 – “Sunflower”

This radiant sunflower is 5″ x 7″ and incorporates some painting, some splattering and a whole lotta spunk! Come join in and let loose some end of summer creativity! The class is offered Thursday August 6th (6:30 – 9:00 pm) and Saturday August 8th (10:00 – 12:30 pm). *(Saturday’s class is currently full, but there is a waiting list if you’d like to be updated on any cancellations).

Project #2 – “Black-Capped Chickadee”

This cute bird has a habit of quickly investigating people and bird feeders, making it one of the first birds most people learn. The project is 5″ x 7″ and is offered Thursday August 20th (6:30 – 9:00 pm) and Saturday August 22nd (10:00 – 12:30 pm)

And now, a quick “Show n’ Tell” of July’s classes and commissions.

There were several brand new watercolorists this month and look at the beautiful work they did! You can’t even tell which ones they are. So proud of everyone!

And a picture from a very special “Girls’ Night Out” watercolor class at the Gordon Jewish Community Center. This was my first time to be invited to teach at another venue and I was absolutely tickled pink by how sweet and encouraging everyone was. Thank you Meryl Kraft (far right) for coordinating everything. It was so much fun!

July commissions are below…

East Nasvhille (web)

East Nashville (thumbnail)

This adorable home is tucked away in East Nashville across the street from Sweet 16th Bakery. It was the Wrights’ first home together and where they started their family. They had to move out of state earlier in the month, so they commissioned this house portrait to commemorate that special chapter of lives together. Here’s to hoping their next home brings them just as many happy memories.

Franklin, TN (WEB)

This stunning home is located in Franklin, TN. The watercolor portrait was commissioned as a closing gift by Stephen Strickhausen of 1410 Realty Group. Congrats to the new homeowners!

Mother's Home (small file for web)

Another one for Stephen Strickhausen at 1410 Realty Group. This home was owned by a lady who passed away at 92 years of age. After they helped her daughter handle the difficult sale, they commissioned a house portrait as a keepsake for the daughter to hold on to. A memory of her “Mother’s Home.”

This commission really shows how thoughtful 1410 Realty Group is as a company and it illustrates one of the many reasons why I love working with them. Thanks guys!

Thank you all and have a wonderful month!
